On December 28, Senate President Pro Tempore Joe Scarnati (R-Jefferson) announced he will recommend that Senator-elect Lindsey Williams (D-Allegheny) should be seated when new members of the Senate are sworn in on January 1.
In a letter to Senator-elect Williams, Scarnati informing her of his recommendation, he also noted the issue could be revisited on the Senate floor if other documents are obtained that show conflicting information from the documents she provided to Senate Republicans.
